    • What if I need more than 1 hour of support in a month?

      No problem! If your needs exceed the included monthly hour, or for larger projects, you can easily purchase Flexible Service Blocks.

      These blocks offer savings, especially for more hours, and all purchased block time rolls over until used.

      We’ll always utilize your included monthly plan hour first for any applicable tasks before drawing from your block balance.

      The “Proactive Care” component of your plan covers the essential, ongoing technical management of your website, which I handle without you needing to specifically request it each time. This includes:

      • Managed WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates (carefully vetted and tested).
      • Daily backups, last 30 days securely stored for easy restoration.
      • Enhanced security monitoring and proactive hardening measures.
      • 24/7 uptime monitoring.
      • The foundational performance optimizations provided by our integrated premium tools. 

      Your included monthly support hour (which expires monthly) or purchased Flexible Service Blocks (which roll over) are then used for any specific tasks you request, such as content updates, design tweaks, troubleshooting new issues, strategic consultations, specific performance enhancements, or new feature implementation.

      Absolutely not! Our Managed Hosting & Care Plan offers complete flexibility with no setup fees and no long-term commitments. Plans are billed monthly, and you can cancel at any time.

      Keeping your website secure and optimized with updates is a priority and will be performed at least monthly. Backups are always created before performing any updates, allowing for a quick restore if needed. Here’s a breakdown of my update process:

      • Security First: Security updates are applied promptly to address vulnerabilities and protect your website.
      • Strategic Planning: For non-critical updates, I monitor discussions within the WordPress community to identify potential conflicts, especially for websites with extensive custom code.
      • Review and Testing: After carefully reviewing update documentation, I may delay implementation if concerns arise. Often, I’ll test questionable updates on a staging site first to minimize risk to your live site.
      • Following Best Practices: Sometimes, waiting for a follow-up update (“update to the update”) is prudent to ensure stability and avoid bugs introduced in the initial update
    • How do I submit requests for support or content updates?

      For most requests, simply send an email with a detailed description of the issue or the content updates you’d like. To streamline communication and discuss more complex issues, we can schedule a phone or video call.

      You will also have access to the client portal – to track tasks, hours, and allow for easy collaboration. This provides transparency and ensures we’re always on the same page.

    • What if something happens to you?

      This is a valid concern. As a solopreneur, I understand that clients want to ensure their website is in good hands long-term. I’ve taken steps to safeguard your hosting investment and ensure continuity, regardless of unforeseen circumstances. My partnership with WPMU DEV, a reputable hosting provider, provides a seamless transfer option. In the unlikely event I am unable to continue providing services, your hosting account can be directly migrated to WPMU DEV with minimal disruption.
